Say hello to the musicians that make the TV channel possible
Gareth is a pro musician and a graduate of the Academy of Contemporary Music. He has extensive live playing experience. He has also toured in the UK and Europe for theatre productions including ‘A Chorus Line’ and his original band ‘The Final Chapter’. His impressive playing skills have also been in demand with companies such as Takamine guitars and Vox amplifiers. He has played many in store demos including performing at the London Olympia Guitar show with world renowned guitarist Jerry Donahue, He is your co-host for the day.
Becky Baldwin is one of the UK’s busiest rock bass players. As well as running an independent music school, Becky performs over 100 gigs a year around Europe with a variety of bands. Recent musical projects include rock bands Hands off Gretel, IDestroy and DORJA, and metal bands Fury and Triaxis.

James is a session guitarist with extensive experience live and in studio. Based in the North West he has played on a number of recording sessions for songwriters as well as on the West End live recording sessions. James has also played on a number of musicals across the UK and last year he played at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the Music for Youth Proms 2017. James joins us a co host for the day.
Lars Mullen is a well respected music journalist, photographer, guitar collector and talented musician. Lars started his music career in Torquay with the band Howitzer, supporting the likes of Rory Gallagher and Eric Clapton. Later in life he played Rick Half-wit in a Spinal Tap type tribute to Status Quo. Lars has interviewed some of the greats of the industry and is your co-host for the day.
BRG Musical Director. A veteran of the Manchester UK music scene, Helen is a musician (Piano, Organ and Keyboards) with over 40 years experience. As founder of the indie record company Everyday Record and has composed music for concert, film, stage, television and radio, winning the Alwinton Summer Concerts 2016 National Composers’ Competition. Helen’s ‘Divertissement No.3 for Guitar’ was published in the Spring 2017 Edition of Classical Guitar Magazine, and her ‘Divertissement No.3 for Guitar’ was playlisted on BBC Radio 3.
Mike has played drums at a high level within many genres of music. He has worked all over the World and is in demand as both a studio and live drummer. His recent work includes playing percussion on renowned classical guitarist Jon Gjylaci’s new album, ‘Edges of Thought’. Mike has composed and played music for items as diverse as the Edinburgh Fringe, BBC TV and he’s even co-written a Ballet. He has a BA (Hons) in Music from Salford University and is a director of Everyday Records.
Sophie Burrell is a 20 year old guitarist from the south coast of England. She has been heavily passionate about music and guitar from a very young age…Jack Black’s School Of Rock kicking off her obsession with music.Receiving a toy guitar at the age of 5, learning how to play it properly by age 10, she then knew what she wanted to pursue as her future career.Sophie is currently one of the guitarists and backing vocalists in “Dorset’s most promising” rock band, Saints Of Sin.
Florian Lohoff is a graduate of BIMM University in Berlin. He tours extensively in Europe with the Florain Lohoff blues band. Florian joined the BRG team back in May 2018 when he presented a number of programmes on the continent including filming at The Holy Grail Guitar Show from the Estrel Centre in Berlin.
